it always does. and usually about this age, too, but with the covid19 and our stay at home initiative, the transfer has been more rapid.
nathan is team ryan so thoroughly he's probably got a tattoo that i don't know about yet.
it never takes them too long after they turn three to recognize that dad is infinitely more fun than mom. he doesn't fold laundry, or dishes, or make disgusting dinners full of (gag) vegetables, he tinkers in the garage, and if he's pulling weeds you can help, and if he's fixing the car you can stand nearby and hold the monkey wrench. he will play with you for hours, he will swing you high into the air, he will become a monster and scare you and chase you and fight you until you scare yourself and then he will become your strong dad, with the big arms and the warm chest and the best hugs.
i'd 'et tu, brutus?' but i've been expecting this to happen.
